Scheduling
Book an Appointment
If, after our initial consultation, we both feel encouraged by the goodness of fit, we will agree on a regular appointment time. From my experience, consistent, weekly appointments can be beneficial to the continuity of our work together and may serve as a source of normalcy. Making therapy a part of your self-care routine can lead to overall, positive, long-term outcomes. As far as duration, I believe that each person is unique and so, too, will be their experience in therapy. Some people may feel that they’ve gotten all they needed from therapy in only a handful of sessions while others may find the space helpful for a longer period of time. Usually, the first few sessions are spent building a genuine connection and learning which areas require the most attention. This also gives us a foundation from which to establish goals for therapy. Throughout our work together, we will check in regularly to discuss both our thoughts about the progress we’ve made.
